Welcome to Estoria

A land of fairy tales, transformation, and chosen love.

Once upon a time, the child still alive in your heart

is imagining…

A kingdom beside a river. A castle wherein a queen hides secret magic. A forest where a kind-hearted shapeshifter suffers alone.

A princess taken from her bed as she slept and carried off into the wild.

That is where Estoria lives.

It is a land of fairy tales, where magic does more than change the body—it reveals what has been waiting underneath. A land of castles and woods, queens and monsters, sorrow and wonder, chosen love and second chances.

Here, all the characters are parts of you.

The princess who longs to awaken.
The wolf who fears he is unworthy of love.
The king who clings to power.
The mother who hides what she knows.
The knight who guards a beautiful secret.
The prince who is forced to hide his affections.
The common girl who dares to hope.
The self that suffers.
The self that transforms.

In Estoria, suffering has a purpose. Love is magic. Freedom must be chosen. And beyond every dark wood, every tower, every grief, there is still the promise of a happy ending for those willing to seek it.

So welcome.

Remove your shoes and enter the wood.
Knock three, five, and seven times to enter the castle halls.
Listen for the song beneath the story.
And see what awakens in you beneath the shifting moon.

There are still many tales to tell. Every generation of Estoria must choose who it will become.

People of Estoria

Queen Anna & Sir Kent

Emma’s mother, and the Captain of her Queen’s Guard have begun making bold moves within the Estorian Court—everything they’ve ever worked for is now being turned toward Emma’s cause

Prince Sebastian Estoria

Emma’s younger brother, Bastian, is quietly brilliant—though for all his gifts he cannot see just how worthy he really is. His genius may be the difference between life and death for his family.

Crown Prince Petyr Estoria

“The Lion of Estoria” is bold, brash, cocky, and secretly opposed to his father’s cruel ideas of rule. He has kept his true heart hidden in the shadows until Emma’s plight inspires him to step unflinchingly into the light and challenge his king father.

Sir James Walker

Loyal. Disciplined. Led by his heart. Sir James is the best friend of Crown Prince Petyr, and has sworn to protect the royal children. Even if his oath costs him everything.

Heather Miller

A girl from a poor provincial town, her gifts and intelligence have gone almost completely unnoticed. Darrien watched her grow up, and now she is Emma’s dearest friend.

Tom & Polly Miller

Heather’s parents are simple, kind, and always there when you need them. The salt of the earth, Tom and Polly live lives of love that will help turn the tide in the conflict of Estorian succession.

The World

From the Northern Mountains to the Western Hills, the Estorian Heartland is a fertile green valley of forests, fields, and rivers.

King Lionel the First claimed the valley beside the Blue River as his dominion nearly six hundred years before our story begins. In those days, the forests were full of elves, the mountains of dwarves, and the hills of gnomes.

And there was peace… for a time.

Then came the purge. Alistair, son of Lionel the Second, inherited an army—and a charge from his forebears to drive anything non-human from the region and expand Estoria’s territory. Those who were not slaughtered fled into other lands. Now only the orcs remain, having expanded their domain from their mountain villages into the abandoned dwarven halls.

And unbeknownst to nearly everyone in the kingdom, one solitary half-elf still lives hidden in a meadow deep within the Northern Wood…

The Magic of Transformation

In Estoria, magic does not make you someone else. It reveals more of who you already are.

Enchanted clothing can transform the body into impossible forms, but each form magnifies something within the person who wears it: joy, freedom, wisdom, longing, devotion—even the parts of ourselves we fear or struggle to understand.

Emma’s transformations become more than magic tricks or disguises. Each is another way of seeing herself—and another step toward choosing who she will become.

The form may be temporary. What it reveals is not.

Throughout The Estorian Tales, transformation becomes a language of its own—a way of making the invisible visible and allowing each character to encounter parts of themselves they might otherwise ignore.
